FanDuel becomes the Carolina Panthers’ official sports betting partner
Operator partners with NFL franchise ahead of March 11 North Carolina market launch after securing license from regulator last week
FanDuel has become the official sports betting partner of the Carolina Panthers ahead of North Carolina’s March 11 online sports betting launch.
As part of the multi-year partnership, the operator will work with the Panthers on social media and digital content as well as promote the franchise’s logo and other branding across its marketing channels.
Panthers fans will also gain access to exclusive events at the Bank of America Stadium, while FanDuel TV’s Up and Adams show with Kay Adams will be broadcast live from the stadium on March 6.
Guests on the show include former Panthers linebacker Luke Kuechly and other members of the NFC South organization.
Mike Raffensperger, FanDuel CCO, said: “Bringing FanDuel to sports fans across North Carolina is an important moment for our business, and we are thrilled to be able to work with the Carolina Panthers to introduce their fanbase to America’s number one sportsbook.
“We look forward to supporting the team next season and to engaging the passionate sports fans across North Carolina with our product.”
Kristi Coleman, Carolina Panthers president, added: “We are thrilled to welcome FanDuel as an official sports betting partner.
“As we look ahead to the 2024 season, we’re excited about the opportunities this partnership presents to deliver unique and engaging experiences to our fans while they are in North Carolina.”
Ahead of the launch, people over the age of 21 will be able to pre-register to the FanDuel sportsbook app – with those who pre-register before March 10 handed $100 in bonus bets.
On launch day, players who make their first bet of at least $5 will receive an additional $200 in bonus bets.
As per North Carolina regulations, operators in the Tar Heel State must partner with an in-state sports franchise, motorsport entity or golf body to gain access.
Elsewhere, Caesars Entertainment became the first operator to go live with mobile sports betting in North Carolina last week after launching early due to its ongoing tribal relationship.
