OPAP reports record revenue for FY 2025 following strong online performance
Gross gaming revenue for the year totals €2.4bn, marking an increase of 4.9% year on year
OPAP has reported gross gaming revenue (GGR) of €2.4bn (£2.1bn) for 2025, fuelled by the “robust online growth” across several segments.
The figure represents a 4.9% increase year on year (YoY) and also happens to be a new record for the operator.
After accounting for GGR contributions and other levies, net gaming revenue for the year came to €1.6bn, up 4.7% YoY.
OPAP’s lottery arm was the biggest contributor to the revenue total, increasing 3.7% YoY to €803.7m.
The operator noted this was driven by “solid KINO and excpetional Tzoker performance” across the year.
Betting revenue rose to €782.2m, up 1.4% compared to 2024, and aided by the growth of OPAP’s Powerspin product, while online casino revenue increased 16.9% YoY to €350.6m.
Revenue from video lottery terminals came to €365.6m, while instant and passives added a further €105.8m.
When factoring in depreciation costs of €114.1m and income taxes of €116.3m, net profit for the year totalled €463.1m, down from the €504.2m recorded in 2024.
During the year, OPAP announced its merger with Allwyn to form a combined entity worth an estimated €16bn.
The deal is expected to be completed in the first half of 2026 subject to gaining the necessary regulatory approvals.
Commenting on the results, OPAP CEO Jan Karas said: “Full-year 2025 was a highly successful year for OPAP, marked by a new GGR record, which led to the delivery of our outlook.
“Looking ahead, we are excited about the business combination of OPAP and Allwyn, which creates one of the leading global lottery and gaming operators, and delivers both strategic and financial benefits to our shareholders.
“Overall, a new era, the era of Allwyn, has started and we are looking forward to a new chapter of growth, powered by market-leading innovations, unique entertainment experience and a strong commitment to giving back to society.”
