GVC acquires Cozy Games
London-listed operator adds to B2B and B2C portfolio with acquisition of bingo firm
GVC has acquired Cozy Games for an undisclosed sum, the operator has confirmed.
The deal will see GVC acquire more than 100 bingo brands, as well as the firm’s white label bingo solution.
GVC spokesperson Jay Dossetter said in a statement: “I can confirm that we acquired Cozy Games, as a complement to our existing B2B and B2C product offer. The acquisition is not material from a disclosure perspective and we aren’t making any formal announcement.”
The sale of Cozy has been long-rumoured, and was fuelled in recent months by the introduction of the so-called bonus tax which will have a negative impact on smaller bingo brands that rely heavily on bonusing for customer acquisition.
GVC would not comment on its plans for the business but has experience in the vertical through its Foxy Bingo product and Cashcade operations, led by Adele Lawton.
NGR of the GVC’s gaming brands, including Foxy Bingo, rose 8% to €112m in H1.
GVC’s appetite for M&A is well-known, with the operator also rumoured to have agreed a provisional board make-up for a combined GVC/Ladbrokes Coral.
