Raketech prepares for Sweden with Shogun Media acquisition
Raketech will utilise the affiliate firm’s PPC and SEO expertise to make an impact on the Swedish betting market
Raketech has ramped up its M&A activity by purchasing a majority stake in affiliate media company Shogun Media Ltd.
Raketech acquired a 51% stake in the digital firm, which provides expertise in PPC and SEO marketing, in preparation for the liberalisation of the Swedish gambling market.
The expertise of Shogun Media founders Fredrik Johansson, Eric Holmberg and Anders Hagenbjörk will now be at Raketech’s disposal as the team continue to develop its product offering.
Raketech CEO Michael Holmberg said: “With the acquisition of Shogun Media, we gain more experienced entrepreneurs and this is vital for our growth journey.

“Not only do we obtain a good synergy for how we build services in new markets, we also gain valuable and supplemental expertise within PPC.
“This is an important building block to further strengthen Raketech ahead of Swedish regulation, where we are well-positioned both in terms of our partners and revenues for when it comes into force in 2019,” he added.
Raketech established a new operational model last year where M&A forms one of three strategic growth pillars, with Shogun Media becoming Raketech’s third acquisition since the start of 2018.
Fredrik Johansson, Shogun Media Ltd founder said: “We are looking forward to becoming part of the Raketech family and working together to deliver the best sports and gaming services to users and egaming operators in a global market.
“There is a great fit between the companies in the form of complementing expertise, synergies in business systems and business model scalability.”
