Aligned for impact: how BGaming connects strategy and social good
In this article, CEO Marina Ostrovtsova explores some of BGaming’s initiatives and how they fit into the bigger picture of socially responsible business today

Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is no longer a side project for companies, it’s becoming part of how businesses define success. It’s about recognising that profit and purpose can co-exist, and that companies have the power to make a real impact beyond their own walls.
CSR can take many forms, from supporting education and healthcare to investing in environmental sustainability or creative communities. What matters most is that it’s sincere and aligned with the company’s values.
One example of a company putting this into action is BGaming. Known primarily as an igaming content provider, we have also taken meaningful steps toward social good, quietly supporting causes that reflect a broader sense of responsibility.
Meaningful giving starts from within
Charity for the sake of charity doesn’t go far. When a company donates to a cause just to tick a box or polish its public image, people can usually tell. What truly makes a difference – both for the cause and the company – is when charitable efforts grow naturally out of what the company stands for.
It’s not about picking any random good cause. It’s about finding the overlap between what matters to the business and what matters to the world. When a company’s values and long-term goals are reflected in its social initiatives, those actions carry real weight. They feel honest. They last longer. And they’re more likely to bring meaningful change.
How BGaming brings purpose into action
At BGaming, charity and creativity go hand in hand. One of our projects that reflects this blend is “When Art Meets Gaming”. It began as a way to support local artists by inviting them to reinterpret our game characters in their unique style ahead of igaming exhibitions. The idea was simple: give emerging talent a platform and breathe new life into our iconic heroes.
Over time, the project grew beyond its original scope. Two years later, it evolved into something deeper – a charitable initiative with a clear social focus. For the second year, we partnered with A7MA, a creative hub and gallery in São Paulo, Brazil. BGaming donated around €20,000 to support local youth and aspiring artists, helping them build their careers and find their place in society.
These collaborations give us more than creative input, they open doors to real impact. They reflect how we see ourselves: not just as an igaming content provider, but as a team with a collaborative spirit and a commitment to doing things that matter.
DAR Bjorn Charity Gala: the black-tie event of impact
As part of the ongoing commitment to purposeful initiatives, BGaming recently joined forces with White Label Casinos to co-host the DAR Bjorn Charity Gala in Malta. The gala aimed to raise funds for the new DAR Bjorn Respite project – a vital extension of the DAR Bjorn Neurological Home in Malta that provides care for individuals with neurological conditions such as amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) and multiple sclerosis (MS).
From our perspective, this event held multiple layers of value. Yes, it was about fundraising – achieved through ticket sales, donations and an art auction – but it was also about shining a light on the incredible work DAR Bjorn is doing and creating a meaningful night of philanthropy for both the igaming and Maltese communities.
As one of the event’s organisers, we helped amplify this important cause while reinforcing BGaming’s identity, not only as a content provider, but as a company deeply committed to social responsibility. The evening reminded us of what’s possible when purpose and partnership come together – exactly the kind of impact we strive for at BGaming.
The results of the DAR Bjorn Charity Gala
The event welcomed nearly 400 guests, all united by a single goal: to support the future of DAR Bjorn in Malta. Together, we raised €200,000, with every element of the evening contributing to this success – from ticket purchases and auction bids to generous sponsorships. BGaming’s additional €20,000 donation will go directly towards the construction of a vital room in the new DAR Bjorn Respite Centre.
What stood out wasn’t the scale of the event, but its clarity. Every action carried meaning. Every gesture was rooted in purpose. Outcomes like this are rare and, when they do happen, they deserve to be recognised for what they truly are: the result of many people choosing to care in a focused, deliberate way.
Values matter
As BGaming grows in Malta, we see it as our responsibility to contribute beyond the igaming space. Supporting local initiatives that create real change is part of who we are. The DAR Bjorn Charity Gala showed what’s possible when strong partnerships and shared values come together. Without our collaborators, such as White Label Casinos, projects like this wouldn’t happen.
Being socially responsible isn’t a label for us; it’s how we operate. At BGaming, we focus on lasting impact and actions that align with our values. For others in the industry, don’t treat it as an add-on. Let your values guide you … and use your platform to create something that matters.
