
Betsson Group retains operator of the year title at EGR Nordics Awards
Swedish heavyweight takes home half-a-dozen awards on the night including marketing campaign and employer of the year


Betsson Group smashed the competition at the EGR Nordics Awards 2023 after walking away with six awards on the night including the highly coveted operator of the year.
The operator secured the double hattrick on the star-studded evening in Malta at the Corinthia St George’s Bay Hotel as it retained its position as the number one operator in the region.
The firm also netted awards for sports betting operator, marketing campaign, customer service operator and affiliate programme of the year.
Betsson also took home the employer of the year accolade, a new category for 2023.
For the first time, EGR also introduced silver and bronze award categories for the top four awards on the night.
LeoVegas and Coolbet took the silver and bronze for operator of the year, respectively, while Sigma Software and Quickspin finished behind Betsson for employer of the year.
Yggdrasil was named as the top casino content supplier, with Pariplay taking silver and Relax Gaming bagging bronze.
Gambling.com Group secured the affiliate of the year title as Traffic Lab and Wedia Group came second and third.
Elsewhere, Paf scored a brace of wins with safer gambling operator and diversity and inclusion model titles.
Flows was named rising star while ComeOn Group took home the in-house innovation prize for its WeSpin casino streaming product.
EGR’s team of independent, external and expert judges is updated each year and is selected to bring a diverse range of in-depth igaming expertise to the judging process.
In addition to the judging panel, the awards were adjudicated by accountancy giant Deloitte.
