BetVictor will honour any outstanding ante-post bets that were cancelled by BetBright following its closure, the operator has announced.
The Gibraltar-based firm said it has partnered with former BetBright executive chairman Rich Ricci, acting in a personal capacity, to reinstate the bets.
Customers simply have to set up a BetVictor account if they don’t have one and contact the operator with the relevant details.
Rich Ricci said in a statement: “I am pleased that with the help of BetVictor, Ante Post bets placed by BetBright customers can be honoured.”
The racehorse owner and former Barclays banker previously said that cancelling ante-post bets was the “fairest” thing to do, with the move backed by the UK Gambling Commission.
BetVictor’s director of sportsbook Matt Scarrott added: “We’re happy to be supporting Rich to address this situation, enabling former BetBright punters to reinstate their ante-post bets via our BetVictor betting platform – we’ll make the process as simple and frictionless as possible to provide customers with an enjoyable betting experience with us”.
The operator’s ante-post liabilities were thought to run into the six figures.
