BeyondPlay installs new head of product
Ex-Betsson manager Valeria Sükiläinen joins all-female senior team at LeoVegas Ventures-backed start-up
BeyondPlay has bolstered its senior management team with the appointment of former Betsson product manager Valeria Sükiläinen as head of product.
Sükiläinen joins the Karolina Pelc-led start-up, which aims to redefine the online gaming experience with multiplayer elements for slots, from g.games where she most recently served as product management consultant from September 2020 until December 2021.
She spent more than four years with Betsson from 2015 until 2020 in a number of product roles, culminating in her position as lead product manager from January 2017 through to February 2020.
Sükiläinen joins Pelc’s senior team alongside former Casumo exec Jacqui Gatt and ex-Playtech head Cristina Turbatu, who joined as COO and CTO in recent months, respectively.
Sükiläinen will work remotely and will be responsible for overseeing the development of BeyondPlay’s product roadmap moving forward.
The four-woman senior team represents a marked change from standard male-dominated set-up in the gambling industry.
Posting on LinkedIn, Sükiläinen said: “I’m over the moon to announce that I joined the phenomenal team at BeyondPlay as head of product.”
Last week, BeyondPlay agreed its first major content integration after putting pen to paper on a partnership with Pragmatic Play.
