EPIC Risk Management boosts US operations with latest hire
Former NCPG legislative director Brianne Doura-Schawohl joins gambling-related harm minimisation consultancy

EPIC Risk Management has appointed Brianne Doura-Schawohl as its new vice president of US policy and strategic development as the education and advocacy organisation aims to bolster its US operations.
Doura-Schawohl most recently served as a legislative director for the National Council on Problem Gambling (NCPG) for two years and has worked in advocacy-based roles for the last decade.
In her new position, Doura-Schawohl will provide support to the firm’s responsible gambling initiatives working with states, regulators, operators and consumers to deliver new educational resources and material.
EPIC currently works with GVC Foundation US to deliver responsible gambling-based education to professional and college athletes across the US.
The independent gambling harm minimisation consultancy has recently inked education-led deals with the NFLPA Professional Athletes Foundation and with the Division of Addiction at Harvard Medical School.
In the UK, EPIC works with organisations including Barclays, the British Army, Chelsea FC and the English Football League to deliver education-based training to individuals on recognising at-risk gambling behaviours.
EPIC Risk Management CEO and founder Paul Buck said: “With the appointment of Brianne, we are welcoming an individual of considerable skill and influence in the problem and responsible gambling sector in the US.
“This is an extremely exciting development in terms of our strategic direction in the US as we look to raise awareness of the risks problem gambling can pose to individuals, businesses and society,” Buck added.
