Epic Risk Management lands esports expert as latest adviser
Gambling-related harm prevention body taps gaming and mental health expert Cam Adair as consultant

Epic Risk Management has appointed esports industry veteran Cam Adair as the body’s new online gaming and esports consultant.
Adair is an international speaker and expert on mental health relating to video game and gambling consumption.
He founded the support community Game Quitters, which helps 75,000 members in 95 countries to handle and educate themselves on video game addiction.
He also acts as an adviser to teletherapy company Kindbridge on gambling and gaming disorders.
In his role with Epic Risk Management, Adair will help the body expand its esports and gaming expertise, with a specific focus on education and professional sports throughout the UK, Europe and the US.
Adair said: “I am excited to collaborate with Epic Risk Management to reduce gambling-related harm in gaming and esports.
“With the explosive growth of the gaming industry in recent years and its convergence with gambling through loot boxes, social casino games and esports betting, it’s more important than ever that we safeguard players with the education they need to make informed decisions,” he added.
Paul Buck, Epic Risk Management CEO, commented: “Cam is someone we have admired for some time, with his work in addiction and focus on mental health [which] is something we feel mirrors our own approach in preventing gambling-related harm.
“The esports and gaming landscape is an area that is receiving more and more scrutiny and in Cam, we have someone who can help shape our approach and help connect with an extremely important demographic,” he concluded.
