Exclusive: BetPro IQ launches in UK after securing GC licences
Challenge betting platform modelled after financial markets goes live, with Australia, Europe and the US earmarked for future rollouts
Challenge betting platform BetPro IQ has officially launched in the UK on Monday, 29 June, after securing licences from the Gambling Commission (GC) in January.
The London-based firm has obtained pool betting, gambling software and general standard betting for real event licences from the regulator.
BetPro IQ serves as a challenge betting platform whereby customers assume control of a simulated betting account and aim to hit a profit target.
Players pay a one-time challenge fee to run a simulated account, with the buy-in ranging from £9.99 for a small account to £1,999 for its largest offering.

The goal for users is to make a 40% profit on that account without losing more than 10% of the starting balance.
If bettors successfully pass the challenge by hitting the required profit target and staying within the maximum loss limit, they receive a funded account supplemented by BetPro IQ platform capital.
Players are free to keep the winnings generated by their funded accounts, with zero liability beyond the entrance fee.
If a simulated account drops more than 10% from the starting balance, the challenge ends so as to dissuade players from chasing losses. The same failsafe is in place on funded accounts.
Each account requires a minimum of 10 bets being places, with the minimum and maximum bet size varying depending on the size of the account.
Each bet must be a minimum of 1% of an account balance, and maximum of 5%.
The platform offers markets on multiple sports, including football, cricket, horseracing, American football and golf.

A BetPro IQ statement read: “The challenge uses play money – you don’t bet with real cash. You prove your skill by hitting the profit target. With our 1-Step Challenge, pass once and you’re funded. Once funded, the account uses play money to track your results, but you earn real cash based on how well you do.”
Modern twist
Speaking to EGR about the product launch, COO Tom Quinzi, who founded BetPro IQ in 2025, said: “We’ve been in the works over the past two years and we’re bringing a modern twist to sports betting in the UK.
“We’re not a traditional bookmaker and we don’t take traditional stakes – we’re a challenge-based model. We’ve taken a model from the financial markets that’s proven and are bringing it to the sports betting market.
“We’re trying to position ourselves as the pioneers of the alternative way to bet as we move away from the traditional sportsbooks.”
Alongside Quinzi, Companies House lists other BetPro IQ directors as Ibrar Ahmed, Paul Morrall and Callum Price, with the platform self-funded between the four industry newcomers.
After the UK launch, Quinzi explained that BetPro IQ has set its sights on expanding the product worldwide.
He added: “For phase two we’re looking at Australia, Europe and the US. We’re also looking to bring in 10 more sports, 30 more in-play sports, and a lot more horseracing, so there’s a lot more stuff to come.”
