Former Paysafe exec becomes shareholder in Aircash
Udo Müller will aid in Zagreb-headquartered provider’s expansion plans in Eastern Europe, Africa and Latin America
Udo Müller has become a minority shareholder in fintech startup Aircash as the firm makes plans for expansion in multiple regions.
Müller held a number of positions across a 23-year spell at payment provider Paysafe.
Müller co-founded and launched paysafecard in 2000 and become CEO of the Paysafe ecash division in 2014.
Since leaving Paysafe, Müller has become the co-owner and advisor at three different companies: the financial services firm Nikulipe, IT software provider Xolvis and pre-paid card marketplace WKV.
He joins Aircash to aid the provider in its growth strategy. He will play a pivotal role in the firm’s plans to expand into Eastern Europe, Africa and Latin America.
Müller will also provide Aircash with support for future M&A plans as the firm explores new opportunities in the fintech landscape.
Commenting on Müller’s arrival, Aircash CEO Hrvoje Ćosić commented: “Müller’s extensive experience and strategic acumen will serve as a valuable asset to Aircash. With his expertise, Aircash is poised to achieve new levels of success, further enhancing convenience and value for our customers.”
Müller added: “I have closely observed Aircash’s success for over five years now and have established a personal connection with Hrvoje. Therefore, I am deeply honoured and enthusiastic about collaborating with the Aircash team.
“With almost two decades of experience in the fintech sector, particularly as the CEO of the ecash division at Paysafe, I have evaluated numerous companies and products. I am firmly convinced that Aircash has the potential to become the preeminent super app for financial services.”
