Kindred reaffirms commitment to Women in Tech Sweden
Operator lends support as a co-creating partner to Women in Tech Sweden for the eighth year in a row ahead of April conference in Stockholm
Kindred Group has given its support to Women in Tech Sweden for an eighth consecutive year as a co-creating partner for the conference.
Women in Tech Sweden is a non-profit organisation founded in 2014 and is supported by some of Sweden’s largest and most influential businesses.
Other co-creating partners that have been secured by Women in Tech Sweden alongside Kindred include fellow gambling firm ATG, Deloitte and Nasdaq.
The main partners for the event are EY, Accenture, and Infosys.
The organisation’s mission is to inspire more women to choose a career in tech and stay in the sector, with its annual conference the largest of its kind in the tech industry in Scandinavia.
The theme of this year’s conference, which is set to take place on 17 April, is ‘Connect, Create, Innovate’, which the organisers said was a way of highlighting “how every byte of code can carry traces of human essence”.
The conference, which is now in its 11th year and will take place in Stockholm, will see more than 2,500 women in the sector network and build new relationships.
Kindred says the theme of this year’s conference falls in line with its company values, with figures from the operator set to take part in the conference too.
Prachi Arya, Kindred Group Women in Tech-general, commented: “The mission of Women in Tech is to inspire women to choose a career in technology, and to keep those already in the industry which is as equally important.
“Being a part of this event and supporting this mission is very important for us at Kindred Group. There is a reason why we keep on supporting Women in Tech Sweden – the networking, the conversations and the face to face-meetings are invaluable and something we at Kindred truly enjoy.”
Åsa Johansen, director at Women in Tech, added: “It is so important that we do this together, that we long-term prioritise building teams with a higher diversity of perspectives.
“We know that it helps us develop better and smarter services and products. That’s why we are so pleased that Kindred is once again with us as a loyal partner on the journey towards a more inclusive industry,” she added.
