Light & Wonder appoints interim CFO on a permanent basis
Oliver Chow secures leading position with the supplier following four months as interim chief

Light & Wonder has appointed interim chief financial officer (CFO) Oliver Chow on a permanent basis.
Chow stepped up to become interim CFO in August following the departure of Connie James, and has now been selected to join the company’s C-suite permanently.
James, who joined the company in January 2020, departed the firm to pursue opportunities outside of igaming.
Along with being named CFO, Chow has also been appointed as Light & Wonder treasurer and executive vice-president.
The finance exec originally joined the games supplier in October 2022 as SVP of corporate finance after a five-year spell with Aristocrat.
He initially served as VP of commercial finance at Aristocrat, before stepping up to become CFO of the Americas and EMEA.
Chow also counts experience with the likes of Universal Pictures, JP Morgan and Deluxe Entertainment Services on his CV.
Speaking on his permanent appointment, Chow said: “I’m excited to work with the company’s leadership and board to execute on our clear strategy and build on our strong financial profile.
“I am looking forward to supporting the organisation to further enable growth, margin expansion and financial execution.”
Matt Wilson, Light & Wonder CEO, said: “After a thorough search by the board and the leadership team, I’m pleased to appoint Oliver as our CFO.
“Over the last four months, we’ve all been impressed with Oliver’s ability to seamlessly step into the role of chief financial officer.
“With more than 15 years of entertainment and gaming leadership experience and deep financial expertise, Oliver was the candidate best positioned to lead us forward,” he added.
