Addison Global continues hiring spree with senior William Hill appointment
Mark Henrich joins the Gibraltar-based betting start-up as general counsel after leading Hills’ Online legal team
Addison Global has hired William Hill Online’s director of legal and commercial affairs, Mark Henrich, to become the Gibraltar-based start-up’s new general counsel.
Henrich, who previously worked as a private practice lawyer in Gibraltar and London, will join Addison’s senior executive team on 18 December after more than five years in Hills’ Online legal team.
“I am incredibly excited about joining Addison – I believe it has all of the components, not least the vision and strategy, to make a successful entrance into the remote gambling space,” Henrich told EGR Intel.
Isle of Man names Tony Ure as head of egaming
The Isle of Man Department of Economic Development has appointed industry consultant Tony Ure as its new head of egaming.
Ure joins the Department of Economic Development having previously held roles at a number of companies in the industry, including Grosvenor Casinos and Ladbrokes’ egaming team in Gibraltar.
He later spent 10 years as head of poker operations for IGT before becoming a consultant to the gaming industry in early 2016.
“Tony has spent over 30 years working for some of the most recognisable names in the industry,” Jonathan Mills, director of e-Business at the department of economic development, said.
Tombola restructures management team as part of plan to double turnover
Tombola has appointed four new heads of department as part of the online bingo operator’s five-year strategy to double turnover.
Mark Russell, who joined the Sunderland-based firm from digital agency TH_NK in September, has been appointed head of bingo operations while the other three appointments are internal promotions.
They include Karl Wood, who was made head of arcade operations; Neil Guy who was made head of international operations and Ian Walshaw who was appointed to head of central operations.
Catena Media CEO leaves with immediate effect
Catena Media CEO Robert Andersson has left his position with immediate effect, the super-affiliate announced last week.
The firm said Henrik Persson Ekdahl would take over as acting CEO, after the board of directors initiated the change in order to “fulfil its strategy, continue growth and increase shareholder value”.
Andersson will be paid an amount equal to six months in accordance with his employment contract and a severance payment of an additional six months’ salary.
Ekdahl has broad international experience in the gambling industry, having previously led Betsafe and Betsson Group as CEO and will assume his new role with immediate effect.
