Skrill halts Tilt deposits
Payment processor stops accepting deposits from FTP following the suspension of its Alderney licences earlier today.
Online payment processor Skrill has stopped accepting deposits from Full Tilt Poker following the suspension of its Alderney licences, as exclusively revealed by eGaming Review this morning.
In an official statement Skrill, formerly known as Moneybookers, said that “over the last couple of weeks” it had become aware of the situation that Full Tilt had not honoured customer pay-outs, that it had been working hard to try and resolve this on its customers’ behalf, but that it had been forced to stop accepting deposits from the suspended company.
“Our customers are the most important part of our business. Unfortunately this hasn’t been possible and today’s suspension of their license by the Alderney Gambling Control Commission has validated our decision.
“We apologise for any inconvenience caused to our customers and hope you understand that extraordinary circumstances, beyond our control, have brought about this action.”
The logos of all Full Tilt Poker’s payment partners were removed from the site earlier today.
Optimal Payments, the provider of the Neteller e-wallet used by Full Tilt, declined to comment when contacted by eGaming Review.
Play on Full Tilt has been halted indefinitely, pending the outcome of a 26 July hearing into the Alderney Gambling Control Commission’s decision to suspend its licences.
