TAIN seals second Dutch online partnership
Dutch casino operator Casino City selects TAIN to supply full range of online gaming services
Land-based operator Casino City has become the latest Dutch firm to select its partner for online gambling in preparation for regulatory progress in 2014.
Online gaming platform supplier TAIN will provide the casino group with a full range of gaming systems including casino, poker, sportsbook and payment services.
Casino City, Amsterdam’s largest casino operator with five venues in the city, follows in the footsteps of fellow land-based firms Holland Casino and Krijco in signing an online gaming deal.
The country’s egaming legislation is expected to make progress in early 2014, with many predicting the market will be up and running by the start of 2015.
The Netherlands Gaming Authority (Kansspelautoriteit) published draft legislation in May proposing a 20% tax on gross profit, the privatisation of Holland Casino and the abolishment the existing sports betting monopoly.
Last week state-owned Holland Casino announced it had partnered with Playtech, while TAIN has also secured another client in Krijco.
“We chose TAIN because as an independent local operator in a very competitive environment we don’t want to be locked in,” Dr. Mario Singels, director of Casino City, said. “The TAIN platform offers the possibility to get the best games, best solutions, and best features from third parties on the market now and in the future.”
“It is very encouraging, in this early stage of the Dutch regulation, to see such support from local operators for these new opportunities in Holland,” added Nicklas Sturk, sales director at TAIN.
