Texas is undoubtedly one of the biggest prizes available, but it will take a long and drawn out legislative process before we see legalized sports betting in the state. Legislators will soon debate House Bill (HB 1275), sponsored by representative Eddie Lucio III, which provides for regulated sports betting, allowing for the issuance of licenses and the taxation of sports betting operators.
