Eilers & Krejcik eyes payments growth with new division
Analysis firm launches Operational Effectiveness & Payments Group adding former Tipico and PointsBet staffers as new consultants
Eilers & Krejcik Gaming (EKG) has confirmed the launch of a new Operational Effectiveness & Payments Group (OE&P) within its boutique analysis and research firm.
Primarily tasked with providing support to businesses on electronic payments issues, the OE&P division will provide support in the areas of compliance, AML, fraud, and business intelligence.
Other areas in which the group will provide assistance include geolocation support and supporting businesses in the fintech sector.
This new group will expand EKG’s existing land-based payments consulting services by launching a series of reports designed to assist casino operators with better understanding of payment-related obstacles and help with the evaluation of the various cashless solutions available in the marketplace.
To support this expansion, the firm has added two new consultants, Andrew Moreno and Tim Jablonski, with existing EKG managing director and payments sector veteran Jerry Rau serving as anchor to the newly created group.
Prior to joining EKG, Moreno held positions with the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) as a compliance examiner, and also worked as a VP of compliance at London-headquartered investment bank TD Securities.
Moreno most recently served as a senior director of regulatory compliance at PointsBet, having joined the Australia-headquartered operator in July 2021.
In his role with EKG, he will focus on the compliance side of the OE&P offering.
An experienced analyst, Jablonski spent four years with Liberty Mutual Insurance before holding business intelligence analyst roles at William Hill US and Tipico. He is also a second year MBA candidate at UCLA’s Anderson School of Business.
Jablonski will be responsible for the business intelligence side of OE&P’s activities.
EKG principal Todd Eilers welcomed the expansion of the firm’s consultancy services, hailing the experience of Rau in spurring the development of the group.
“Jerry’s core electronic payments consulting has been very successful and has provided critical assistance to many of our existing clients and customers,” Eilers said.
“We are very excited to expand our existing land-based cashless reporting along with adding these additional consulting services that we believe will be highly complementary,” he added.
