FanDuel seals Amazon partnership for NBA and WNBA coverage
Operator to become the official odds provider and partner for Prime Video coverage, while Blake Griffin added as a brand ambassador
FanDuel has agreed a partnership with Amazon to become the official odds provider and official partner of both the NBA and WNBA on Prime.
Via the deal, Prime’s new bet tracking and Odds View features will be powered by FanDuel.
The operator said it will deliver “unique insights from its market-leading sportsbook” as part of the partnership.
Prime Sports’ bet tracking will allow fans to see their active bets displayed and updated on screen, as well as the finalized status of wagers placed by linking their FanDuel account to their Prime Video profile.
The operator will also provide dynamic betting content during the season, which is accessible via Prime Video.
Former NBA star Blake Griffin, now an analyst on Prime, has also be named as a FanDuel ambassador.
Griffin will be featured across the operator’s campaigns, on-air activations, social media, and live events.
Mike Raffensperger, FanDuel president of sports, said: “Our partnership as the official odds provider for NBA and WNBA on Prime Video represents a significant milestone in how we connect with basketball fans.
“By integrating custom content into Prime Video’s NBA broadcasts, we will enhance the fan viewing experience and connect with new audiences.”
Danielle Carney, Amazon Ads head of US video and live sports sales, added: “It’s important to partner with brands that are invested in enhancing the fan experience. We’re helping to transform how brands reach highly engaged consumers.
“By prioritizing innovation and storytelling, we can create unique opportunities for brands to connect with their audiences that are more meaningful.”
