New Jersey sportsbooks net $116.3m in December revenue
Statistics released by the Garden State regulator showed operators amassed $1.18bn in total 2025 sports betting revenue
New Jersey sportsbooks ended 2025 on a high note after accruing $116.3m in December sports betting revenue, according to new data from the New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement (NJDGE).
Monthly revenue was up 85% year-over-year (YOY) from $62.8m during the same period of 2024. For the year, operators reported a record $1.18bn in gross revenue, a YOY increase of 7.5%.
Meanwhile, December handle amounted to $1.06bn – the fourth straight 10-digit month in wagering volume – which gave way to a statewide hold of just under 11%.
As a result, operators sent $24.2m in tax payments back to the state, pushing aggregate 2025 sports betting tax receipts to $209.1m.
Bettors wagered a total of $12.2bn in 2025, equating to an average monthly handle of more than $1bn. Hold for the year was 9.5%.
Parlays represented the wind in the sails of operators in 2025; the multi-leg wagers accounted for nearly two-thirds of statewide revenue ($755.3m) at a 19.5% win rate for sportsbooks. By contrast, sportsbook hold on all other bets was 4.9%.
Turning to operators, December served as a microcosm of the entire year, with FanDuel and DraftKings coming out on top in that order.

FanDuel, which operates under Meadowlands’ license, amassed $50.2m in gross revenue for the month, giving the Flutter-owned business an annual tally to $470.1m, with the latter equating to a market share of just under 41%.
DraftKings, which netted a little over $34m in gross revenue for the final month of 2025, finished the year with $325.3m in revenue, good for 28% of the market.
BetMGM grabbed the final podium spot in both December gross revenue ($8.3m) and annual gross revenue ($85.8m).
As for New Jersey’s booming igaming market, December was a banner month as operators reported an all-time high of $273.2m in gross revenue, up 19.8% from the $228m generated during the same period of 2024.
Annual igaming revenue reached a record $2.91bn, a 22% YOY surge on the $2.39bn operators collected in 2024.
