Expansion into the Wolverine State sees UK-based operator now live in 17 US jurisdictions
Bet365 has expanded into Michigan to extend its presence to 17 US jurisdiction as of Friday, April 17.
The operator has gone live with both online sports betting and online casino in the market.
Features include an early payout offer when wagering on sports and the free daily prize matcher when playing casino, giving users the opportunity to win prizes up to $5,000 each week.
New customers will be offered a ‘bet $10, get $365’ promotion for the bet365 sportsbook as well as 1,000 free spins and up to $1,000 deposit match for the casino vertical.
Trip Stoddard, bet365 head of business development, said: “We’re excited to bring bet365 to Michigan and introduce a better way to bet.
“This is a mature market with knowledgeable fans, and we’re confident our product stands apart.
“Features like our Early Payout offer, combined with our in-play experience and integrated casino, give players more ways to engage and more reasons to choose bet365.”
Alongside the state launch, bet365 has been named the official sports betting partner of MLB franchise the Detroit Tigers and has partnered with NHL team Detroit Red Wings.
Bet365 placements will appear throughout the Tigers’ Comercia Park stadium, plus the UK-based operator will be integrated into game broadcasts through “virtual signage” and on the franchise’s radio and digital channels.
It will also serve as the presenting partner of Detroit’s SportsNet’s Tigers coverage.
Bet365’s ‘Winning is Everything’ campaign will be rolled out in Michigan as part of the state launch.
The Michigan move follows the operator’s launch in Missouri in December and forms part of a renewed focus on the US market.
The company delivered the third highest handle of any operator in the first month after legalisation in Missouri, with $57.8m in volume, only behind market leaders, FanDuel and DraftKings.
