The operator said it had been building its digital strategy over the past six months after recruiting Chris Sheffield as its MD of interactive, and is now looking to expand its team.
The roles the operator is looking to fill include CRM/retention manager, product manager, digital marketing manager, web designer, and director of social.
âWe are setting up a new office in Conshohocken, a trendy suburb of Philadelphia, to build our egaming business which is going to focus on social, fantasy, e-wagering and real-money gaming products,â Sheffield told eGR NA.
âThere are long term opportunities in all of these areas but the immediate focus is on social games such as the Scientific Games Play4Fun product which we plan to use to acquire new customers, and also increase retention and engagement with our large nationwide customer base.
âWe are looking for top talent across all egaming and digital disciplines but starting with a team from top down to focus on the rollout and marketing of social casino products.
âI could see us recruiting 20 to 50 people over the next 12 months, and clearly more if Pennsylvania legalizes real-money gambling next year,â he added.
The news comes just weeks after Penn confirmed it would enter the social casino sector after striking a deal with Scientific Games to deploy its Play4Fun Network at a number of its casinos.
The operator is also eyeing up opportunities in the fantasy sports sector in the future.
