Mudd had been CFO since October 2007 and last year became company president in a reshuffle which also saw William Carstanjen vacate the COO position in order to replace Robert Evans as chief executive officer.
Dall, meanwhile, will oversee financial reports, compliance, planning and analysis, capital and risk management, treasury and investor relations efforts at the Kentucky-based operator.
She joins from insurance giant Erie Indemnity Company and will assume her new role on October 12, reporting directly to Carstanjen.
âWhen we promoted Bill Mudd to the president role and transitioned significant operating responsibilities to him in August 2014, we always planned to fill the CFO position at the appropriate time,â Carstanjen said.
âAs we continue to grow and diversify our business operations, the time has come to fill the CFO position and we are extremely fortunate to be able to attract a candidate with Marcia’s credentials to join our executive team,â he added.
The horserace wagering operator has enjoyed a solid start to the year with record H1 online revenues after acquiring social casino developer Big Fish Games for $885m last year.
