Delaware North snaps up Ruby Seven Studios
Regional casino operator acquires Nevada-based social casino developer for an undisclosed sumÂ
Regional casino operator Delaware North has snapped up social casino developer Ruby Seven Studios for an undisclosed sum.
The acquisition builds on the partnership between both firms, after Delaware North selected Ruby Seven to power its social casino offering in September last year.
The firm said the acquisition would allow it to launch its own mobile and social casino offering, in a bid to increase customer engagement and retention.
The deal also allows Delaware North to act as a B2B supplier to Ruby Sevenâs current customer base, which includes the Tropicana Casino in New Jersey and the Pechanga Tribe in California.
E. Brian Hansberry, president of Delaware Northâs gaming business, said the deal would bring a ânew levelâ of innovation and technology to the company.
âThis acquisition primes Delaware North to continue its innovations on a global scale while allowing us to explore new territory by working with the Ruby Seven Studios team,â he added.
Ruby Seven Studios is based in Nevada and has an office in Kochi, India, and was co-founded by Michael Carpenter and Jugul Tachery.
Carpenter said Delaware North was âuniquely positionedâ to help service its âever-expandingâ land-based casino partners as well as across the operatorâs 500 million customer touchpoints.
âOur companies are both focused on one thing â providing a great customer experience. That made this partnership and acquisition an easy choice for Ruby Seven Studios,â he added.
The news comes just weeks after GSN Games acquired London-based Plumbee for an undisclosed sum.
