
DraftKings plots NFL sports betting dominance with new season ad campaign
Actor and comedian Kevin Hart features in new creative as operator launches ‘The crown is yours’ tagline


DraftKings has unveiled the first of its new advertising arsenal as the operator prepares for the start of this year’s NFL season on September 7.
The Boston-headquartered operator’s first commercial of the new season, launching on August 21, will feature Hollywood actor and comedian Kevin Hart and retired NFL quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick, and will air nationally across the US.
The advert features a ‘Bet $5 get $200’ in bonus bets promotion for new customers.

This advert is the first to feature DraftKings’ new tagline ‘The crown is yours’, which aims to reinforce the operator’s commitment to creating the best possible experience for its customers.
The tagline will be highlighted across DraftKings’ channels including digital and social media.

DraftKings CEO Jason Robins recently highlighted the fall period, when the NFL season begins, as one of the most important times for the firm as it looks to acquire new customers and gain market share from its main rivals.
“We have fall coming up with the NFL, the college football calendar, and the NBA. There are lots of things happening this fall, so, this is the most important time of the year,” Robins said in DraftKings Q2 2023 financial earnings call.

“This is when we acquire the most customers, when we have the biggest opportunity to gain more market share and when we generate the most revenue, and the most EBITDA.
“I think this is so important a moment for DraftKings that we as a team are laser focused on executing, and everybody’s really dialled in now,” he added.
