Fanatics Sportsbook goes live in Massachusetts
Sports merchandiser launches its mobile betting experience in the Commonwealth ahead of Game 5 of the NBA Eastern Conference playoffs

Fanatics has entered the online space in its third state with the early launch of its mobile sportsbook in Massachusetts.
The ecommerce giant adds the Commonwealth to its growing list of states following launches in Tennessee and Ohio earlier this month. Fanatics is also live in Maryland but only as a retail experience inside the FedExField stadium.
The beta test went live on Thursday to a select number of Fanatics customers in Massachusetts, who each received a code to access the app, while non-Fanatics customers were able to download the inactive app on iOS and Android and join the waiting list.
The two launches earlier this month in Ohio and Tennessee represent the firm’s first steps in CEO Michael Rubin’s strategy to make Fanatics the number one sports betting operator in the US. Fanatics is also planning to go live online in Maryland in June, with the eventual goal of being live in a dozen states by football season.
The operator is also developing a loyalty program dubbed ‘FanCash’ that enables its users to gain reward dollars, in the form of up to 5% back on each bet placed, that can be put towards merchandise or bonus bets.
