Odditt secures ex-DraftKings VP as chief technology officer
Sports betting supplier adds Elaine Milardo to top team after she played a key role at US operator between 2014 and 2021
Odditt has added former DraftKings VP of data platform, Elaine Milardo, to its C-suite as the supplier’s new chief technology officer (CTO).
Milardo joins the Boston-based firm having left DraftKings back in June 2021 after seven years with the operator giant.
She originally joined DraftKings as a data platform director in July 2014 following a lengthy spell with Vistaprint, before being named a senior director for data platform in August 2018.
Then, in July 2019, she was appointed VP of data platform and engineering.
Since departing DraftKings, Milardo established and led her own consultancy business, Milardo Ventures.
Odditt was founded in 2021 by CEO Matt Bresler, with the odds supplier featuring more than 25 sports across more than 25,000 leagues and tournaments in its database.
The company also has a core USP on women’s sports, with historical data from more than 4,000 women’s sports leagues and tournaments across 20 sports.
The business secured a strategic investment partnership with SCCG Management earlier this year to support its in-game NBA pricing and monitoring capabilities.
Speaking on her appointment, Milardo said: “What compelled me about Odditt is that there is already an exceptional data foundation with its world-class odds database with extensive historical and real-time odds coverage across many global sports.
“My expertise lies largely in delivering exceptional data architecture at scale. I am excited for the opportunity to grow Odditt’s extensive data solutions and products as we revolutionize betting engagement,” she added.
Bresler said he was “thrilled” to welcome the ex-DraftKings head to the business.
The CEO remarked: “Within the first 10 minutes of meeting Elaine, I could tell that she was world class, both as a data expert and as a human being.
“I am incredibly grateful to have Elaine on board as we continue to develop an industry-leading suite of sports betting tools and data feeds for women’s sports and in-game betting.”
