Kalifa will begin the handover process from Baty on 4 January and will officially take over the role when Sportech announces its full year 2015 results on 3 March.
For the past six years Kalifa has served as Sportechâs corporate development director with a particular focus on its expanding North American business.
A qualified chartered accountant, Kalifa has extensive experience in finance and executive director roles in the UK and the US and has previously worked for the likes of Disney, Time Warner and BSkyB.
Sportech chairman Roger Withers said he was âdelightedâ to welcome Kalifa to the board.

Baty announced he would leave Sportech to take up the same role at Premier League football Club Manchester United back in October.
He joined Sportech in 2013 from Ladbrokes, where he held a number of senior finance roles including finance director of its egaming and international businesses.
