Zoot hires ex-Boom Entertainment VP as chief business officer
Nicholas Chin becomes operator’s first CBO and will lead its revenue, marketing and business operations
Zoot has appointed former High 5 Games and Boom Entertainment VP of business development Nicholas Chin as its first chief business officer (CBO).
He will be tasked with leading Zoot’s revenue, partnerships, and marketing operations, as the firm looks to launch its stablecoin casino and B2B studio licensing operations in the near future.
Chin originally joined High 5 Games as an art director at the end of 2011 before beginning his ascension up the ranks.
He was appointed director of business development in July 2014, followed by a step up to senior director of business development in November 2017. Chin was named VP of business development two years later.
He then moved to Boom Entertainment in July 2022, serving as the firm’s VP of business until January 2024.
A Zoot statement read: “We’re excited to announce that Nicholas Chin has joined GetZoot as our first chief business officer, leading the revenue, partnerships, marketing, and overall business operations of Zoot.
“Nick has an extensive background in sweepstakes and social casino operations over the past 10 years, and we’re pleased to have such an experienced operator join us as we expand Zoot beyond our US sweepstakes into our upcoming stablecoin casino launch and our B2B studio licensing operations.”
In June, Zoot secured $6m in seed funding led by CoinFund.
The sweepstakes operator said it planned to use the capital to lay the groundwork for international expansion, additional game titles, and enhance its blockchain integration capabilities.
