Sponsored PR: Slotmatic’s Pidiots preview marks London success
Slotmatic showcased Pidiots at the EGR B2B Awards ceremony in June, marking an important first public step for its new character-led slot concept
Slotmatic successfully previewed Pidiots in London at the EGR B2B Awards ceremony on 3 June, introducing a new character-led slot concept built around tournaments, community engagement and AI-assisted development.
The preview brought together industry guests for an early look at Pidiots and its first tournament activation. The response confirmed strong interest in the project’s distinctive approach to slot engagement, combining gameplay, characters, live competition and future community-driven mechanics.
Pidiots is built around a colourful group of characters known internally as ‘The Gang of Five”’ Each character has a different personality, creating a universe designed to extend beyond a traditional slot release and support tournaments, social content, streamer interaction and future promotional campaigns.
The London activation was not presented as a final product launch, but as a live preview and engagement test. This allowed Slotmatic to observe how participants interacted with the concept, the characters and the tournament format, while collecting valuable feedback for future development.
The successful preview also highlighted Slotmatic’s wider ambition: to create a more adaptive model for slot development, where game creation, feature design, behavioural analysis, testing and optimisation are connected within the same development framework.
“Pidiots gave us the opportunity to show a different way of thinking about slot launches,” said Domenico Vacchiano, founder and CTO of Hub Innovation. “The London response confirmed that characters, tournaments and intelligent feature design can create a deeper level of engagement around a slot concept.”
Slotmatic is being developed with regulated markets at its core, combining ongoing work on RNG, RGS, game certification and security testing with the strength of an ISO 27001-certified security infrastructure.
Following the London preview, Slotmatic will continue developing the Pidiots universe, with future versions expected to introduce additional characters, feature layers, tournament formats and community-focused mechanics.
The company sees the success of the preview as an early signal of how future slot launches may evolve, not only as individual games but as entertainment ecosystems built around recognisable IP, live engagement and AI-assisted production tools.
The London activation also gave Slotmatic a valuable opportunity to present its direction during one of the most important events in the global igaming calendar, as suppliers, operators, affiliates and technology companies gathered around the EGR B2B Awards.
